Electrical Goods Dealers: Handling Price Revisions Across Every Customer
Cables, switches, lighting and fans — electrical goods see price revisions from manufacturers several times a year. For a dealer with hundreds of customers on different rates, each revision turns into days of updating lists and correcting invoices.
Why revisions go wrong
When every customer has a separate rate sheet, a revision has to be copied into each one. Some sheets are missed, some are updated late, and orders taken in between go out at the old price.
One change, applied everywhere
Price revisions become simple when customer rates are defined as rules — a group rate, or a discount on a product range — instead of copied numbers. Change the base price once and every customer’s rate follows. Orders already confirmed keep the price that was agreed, so nobody is surprised on the invoice.
